Customer-service work for established companies, done entirely from home. Depending on your program, you may handle inbound phone calls or chat support. You schedule your own hours within available client windows, at least 15 hours per week. The specific nature of the work varies by program and is fully described during onboarding.
Earnings depend on which program you're certified for, how many hours you work, and your performance. We don't make guaranteed income claims because earnings genuinely vary person to person. What we commit to: the full pay structure — rates, deductions, and your take-home minimum — is explained in detail before you commit to anything. You keep at least 85% of the service revenue you generate.
From the service revenue you generate: a 5% platform usage fee and a UFE Connect service fee of up to 10% are deducted. You keep at least 85%. Payments are made twice monthly by direct deposit to your bank account. The specific per-minute or per-hour rates depend on the client program you service, and are disclosed fully during onboarding.
No. Applying to UFE Connect is completely free. There are, however, one-time setup costs once you decide to move forward — these cover a background check and program certification. We disclose the exact amounts during private onboarding, before you're asked to pay or commit to anything.
Setup costs vary by program and typically include a background check fee and a certification course fee. The exact amounts are disclosed in full during your private onboarding conversation — before you pay anything. We won't ask you to spend money until you've seen the complete picture and decided it makes sense for you.
We're currently available in approximately 30 US states. Due to requirements of the underlying work platform, not all states are eligible — this includes several large states. We'll confirm your eligibility when we review your application, and we'll let you know clearly if your state isn't currently supported. The list does change periodically, so if you're ineligible now, that may change.
No. This is an independent contractor opportunity. You're not hired as an employee, and you're not eligible for employee benefits, unemployment insurance, or workers' compensation from UFE Connect. You control your own schedule, work from your own space, and provide services as an independent business owner. You'll sign an Independent Contractor Agreement before starting.
You are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on your earnings. No taxes are withheld by UFE Connect. At year-end, you'll receive an IRS Form 1099 if your earnings meet the reporting threshold. We recommend consulting a tax professional if you have questions about self-employment taxes.
Requirements vary by client program and are shared in detail during onboarding. Generally, you'll need: a compatible Windows or Mac computer that meets program specs; dual monitors; a wired (not wireless) internet connection with sufficient speed; a headset; and a quiet, dedicated workspace. Some programs have specific processor or RAM requirements. We'll walk you through the full checklist before you spend anything.
Most programs require a minimum of 15 hours per week, scheduled within available client windows. You choose which windows fit your schedule. There's no maximum — many contractors work 30–40 hours per week. If life gets busy, you manage your own schedule, though consistently falling below the minimum may affect your program status.
Before you can service any client program, you complete a short online certification course specific to that program. Certifications cover the company's products, policies, and service expectations. Length varies — most take between a few days and a few weeks to complete. Certification has a cost that varies by program; all amounts are disclosed before you enroll.
Yes. Because you're an independent contractor setting your own schedule within available windows, many people use this as supplemental income alongside other work, school, or family responsibilities. You'll want to make sure you can consistently meet the 15-hour weekly minimum for your program.
Either party can end the agreement with 7 days' written notice, or immediately for cause. There's no long-term lock-in. Note that certification costs are non-refundable once a course is completed — which is one reason we walk you through everything before you spend anything.
